This is an excellent interpretation of a Proverbs 31 wife. However, the book is so heavy and difficult to decipher. Each page is absolutely so thin. My eyes will not work with pages so thin that I can see the word on the next page.It did have interested letters to preface. Even my daughter liked them. In the end, this is just too heavy of a book to study. Also, the pages need to be thicker- especially for a hard bound book.

I love everything about my new Study Bible! The structure, colored maps, articles, portraits, and essays are enjoyable, insightful, easy to read, and easy to follow. If you're looking for a study bible that will help you delve into the word and spend more time with Him, this is definitely the bible for you.

I love the NKJV, Woman's Study Bible, articles, print size and beautiful pages with flowers. The color is so good for my vision problem. The only thing that was wrong with my bible is that the binding in the back where the maps, an so forth are, is coming a loose. At the top, somewho the pages at top tore and binding is not glued secure. I purchased the bible less than two weeks ago. Other than the binding problem, this bible is fantastic and would be a great gift for any women who read the bible.

I bought this Bible for myself and I am ordering another one for my sister-in-law. I love it, simple, nice and easy to read and understand. I was skeptical about it at first because the images did not quite do it justice and I am happy I went along with my feeling to purchase it because I am very excited to give it to my sister-in-law as a gift and I can’t wait to see her reaction! Beautiful bible that is filled with many inspiring devotions. The cover is very durable and very attractive. I am very pleased with the quality of this bible and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys devotional bibles for women. A must-buy for those who enjoy the Word of God and desire devotions designed just for women and their needs.

I have this Bible in hard cover and Kindle. I purposely bought the Kindle because the print in the Bible is so tiny I couldn't read it even with my glasses on. I bought the Kindle edition thinking I would be able to enlarge the print but I find you cannot with this Bible. I was very disappointed because everyone I know who has this Bible says what a remarkable Bible it is. Maybe after I get my cataracts removed and astigmatisms corrected and get new glasses I'll be able to read it. I only gave it 2 stars because you can't enlarge the print size not because of the Bible itself. The Bible would get 5 stars.

If I could give this bible 10 Stars I would.....This bible is amazing it makes my study time with God so interactive not only does it help by breaking down scripture it has lots of little fun facts as well as wonderful and educational articles on things like marriage and motherhood as well as being a grandmother. The beautiful word portraits are amazing they paint the woman in a way that is very relatable and opens your eyes to their life, times and characters. The quotes also help, one day when I was flipping through the bible one of them got my attention so I started to read and it was a word that my spirit spoke to me a few hours earlier. This bible is amazing....!!!! God defiantly had a purpose for placing this bible in the hearts of the women who created it.

I have not been able to put this Bible down since it arrived a few hours ago. It is beautiful and full of special spots like "Beatitudes for Women" and "Flowers and Herbs of the Bible." A perfect Study Bible.

After reading the text and listening to the CD there is an appropriate post-test to evaluate what you have learned. Bothe simulated sounds and natural sounds from clinical cases are presented on the CD. Simulated sounds allow the listener to focus on heart sounds without the distraction of breathing sounds and artifacts. Natural sounds of murmurs and abnormal respiration are included to represent the clinical situation. Graphic presentations of ECG's and phonocardiogram's accompany the heart sounds for clarity. This appears to be a very efficient way on conveying knowledge to the reader. Each chapter is also equipped with tables for a quick reference of differential diagnoses for different auscultatory phenomena, making the book very useful as a handbook to be used in day-to-day practice. A bit out of date but because it hasn't been updated or re-researched for several years, despite the (re?)publication date of 2012.Examples include:- 'Connelly's Camp' in Naivasha is infact Camp Carnelly's- Wildebeest Eco Camp in Nairobi is no longer in Malindi but now in Karen- Samburu Trails and Trekking in Maralal hasn't been in operation since 2007.It has the basics, gives a reasonable overview and it will get you around Kenya. But for a country as well travelled as Kenya, the sloppiness was at an unacceptable standard for LP.

Thanks to the knowledge and skilled horsemanship of her father, she was always mounted on a great horse. She competed in the 4-H horse program throughout childhood as well as the National High School Rodeo Association. Shelly is a member of the Womens Professional Rodeo Association and is an active competitor in the Wilderness Circuit. She is a long-time horse breeder and trainer competing in futurities with her young horses as well as open jackpot barrel racing competitions. Her father, Lyman Watkins, was a great horseman and horse trainer with an intuitive understanding of horse behavior and what needed to be done to fix problems. He often successfully took on horses that other trainers had sent away, having advised their owners to send them for dog food because they were untrainable. Lyman miraculously turned them into reliable and useful mounts. Together with her older brother Dale, he developed and patented the Cloverleaf Bitless Bridle, and its training and use system which is laid out in the book Secrets That Tame the Wild Ones authored by L. Dale Watkins. Although her father and brother have passed, their legacy lives on in Shellys skill and knowledge that was taught to her by these great horsemen. She uses the Cloverleaf Bitless Bridle system in her training program. Another of her older brothers, Tom Watkins, still custom manufactures a limited number of the bridles. Shelly has overcome several serious and debilitating accidents. She was told on more than one occasion she would likely never ride again and would certainly never compete at a pro level again. Shellys mentally tough strategies brought her back from the depth of despair, and devastating injuries to once again compete as a professional. Shelly holds a Bachelors degree in Nursing Science from the University of Utah, a Masters of Nursing Science degree from Grand Canyon University and is a certified Sports Hypnotist. She taught as an adjunct nursing professor at Mohave Community College and has spent more than 20 years caring for patients in the fields of geriatrics, hospice, and oncology. Her nursing work with cancer patients has given her great insight into the healing power of the mind. She has incorporated eastern healing techniques that utilize the powerful mind-body connection in her nursing and personal practices. She has studied and practiced intentional creation and manifestation for more than 25 years and has been a personal witness to miraculous events brought about by the power of belief Says Shelly, Horses hold a profound healing power for me. Somewhat disappointing in that the book features too much "monumental projects" and not enough more simple garden/yard projects for the regular run-of-the-mill gardener/diy individual. Most all photos are from professional sculpture artists.

I've purchased a lot of concrete books lately. The techie types especially, from ponderously named Institutes of Concrete Poobahs and Frou Frou Architecture publishers. THIS is the book that puts them all to shame.It isn't just for making artsy crafty things. If you want to pour a concrete sidewalk or make dog proof furniture or dress up the patio in a truly boring condo - buy this book and study it. Read it with an eye toward using it as a permanent reference work and lab manual as well as inspiration resource. (If you've gone to university lately, you'll know this is an amazingly low cost textbook - filled with color pictures, line drawings and detailed instructions that go way beyond even the best lecture.) From forming and construction to finishing techniques, this book has everything needed to master concrete work in a residential setting.The raw material is dirt cheap. DIRT CHEAP. You can afford to give yourself an intensive course in concrete handling for less than $$$, including the book itself and a bunch of projects. By the time you've made the acquaintance of just a few styles of Quikrete at Home Depot, you WILL be able to cast your own concrete countertops in the new house. No kidding.

This book covers a lot of techniques for working with concrete. It has a lot of recipes and project ideas for all levels. It is great for people who are looking to do more than cast molds as it covers carving, sculpting, and surface treatments.

First off I want to say, I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this book. However, I also loved it when it was entitled, "MAKING CONCRETE GARDEN ORNAMENTS".I think Sherri Warner Hunter is an amazing artist and this book is absolutely fantastic. I'm only commenting because I am hoping this will help others by saving them the cost of a book they may already have on their shelf. If you currently own Sherri's book, "Making Concrete Garden Ornaments"...YOU WON'T NEED TO BUY THIS BOOK. Or vice versa...if you own this book, there is no need to buy the other. They are identically the same book, page for page. The only difference is the title and the cover photo, which gives the illusion that they are 2 totally different books.There were others that commented about this and unfortunately, I didn't notice them before buying. So I am sure I won't be the last person to do this. Instead, I wish somewhere above in the description it would have mentioned that fact because our comments will get buried under other new comments and I think people have a right to know, especially since we weren't able to "click to look inside" before purchasing. I can give this one away as a gift so it isn't a total loss, but still, I could have used that money towards another craft/garden book.

Good book for info and ideas. Book is as advertised, fast ship.

These 3 books by Sherri Warner Hunter were just a repeat of each other. They used the same photos and same write ups.It was a waste of money to purchase all three.

Third, the book is an easy read, written in such an engaging and non-technical manner that even the person whose last science book was in 10th grade bio class will find this book a pleasure to read, making it far and away the best microbiome book out there for general audience. It is a gift to us that he wrote this outstanding book. I strongly recommend this vital book. He is an exceptional physician, as he looks at the whole person and the interconnection with the mind, body, emotions and spirit, sadly, a rare combination in today's medical practice..

Synopsis - the bacteria in your digestive system play a large and underappreciated role in both your gut health and in your overall health; take care of them.While an enjoyable and colorful read, this book has several problems with it. First, the author draws many "conclusions" based upon the work of published animal studies even though in he also admits that the neurological systems of animals and humans are considerably different. Sometimes he admits that his conclusions are just hypotheticals but more commonly goes for the sensational claims to wow the layreader.Second, the books suffers from sloppy editing. A typical example is on page 208 where Mayer says, "This helps explain the fact that infants who are not breastfed have fewer bifidobacteria in their stool than formula-fed infants." Other editing errors are buried in the often contradictory science-speak - I'm sure a biochemist would have a field day here. His discussion of the neurotransmitter GABA on pages 141-142 is particularly wishy-washy.Third, the book is light on novel recommendations. The concluding remarks on page 284: maximize regular intake of naturally fermented foods and probiotics, cut down on animal fat, avoid processed food, eat smaller servings, be mindful of prenatal nutrition, reduce stress, avoid eating when sad or depressed, enjoy social aspects of food, and listen to your gut.Bottom line, a fun read but lots of book-selling science claims without many actionable recommendations.

This book is a must-read. It's no secret that our medical system is suffering. The reasons are multi-factorial. But what Dr. Mayer's book illuminates is that a new paradigm for understanding how our bodies function (and malfunction) is overdue. Once we understand that the brain, gut and bacteria are in communication, the construct of specialties of medicine based on body part or system is outdated. As Dr. Mayer so aptly states, our current system of medicine is based on a post-industrial age concept of a machine with parts that go bad. Hypertension? Off to the cardiologist. Abdominal pain? Gastroenterologist. The overhaul will require that we adopt a holistic perspective, that the communication between systems and organs is as important as the systems and organs themselves. This mandate is no different than the one for our society as a whole.As a recently hired physician at UCLA, never having heard of Dr. Mayer, I saw his book on the shelf of a colleague. Its name appealed to me and I ordered it that night. To say I was excited to see my personal long-held philosophies in print, validated by years of Dr. Mayer's research and experience, was an understatement. Fast forward six months, I am now exploring collaboration with Dr. Mayer and others with the intention of researching the mind-gut-microbiome connection with eating disorders.Our concepts must evolve, and Dr. Mayer's book points us in the right direction.

Really thought provoking. I learned a lot by reading this book. There are more serotonin neurons in the gut than in the brain. I felt like it needed more advice, though. I learned a lot but not sure how to put it into effect to help myself with brain-gut problems. What is the next step please?
