Great book for tracing patterns Celtic patterns onto projects such as wood burning, or other wood products as well as helping to design independent art based off of a picture. Exactly what I wanted.
It’s a good starter book for any carving project.
Loved the designs and they will help in making my medieval scrolls with these ideas.
I liked the designs and there were many to choose from. It would have been better if the period for each design was listed instead of Celtic Design found on a brooch. If you want to know an exact period for reinactment clothing you won't get any info in this book. If you don't care about the period that the design comes from then you have a lot to choose from. There was mostly Celtic designs and some Norse designs so if you want more Old Norse designs you won't find them in this book. The Celtic designs are very good with plenty to choose from.
I felt the description of the book is very misleading. It is a small collection of ruin etchings doe not give any meaning for the designs, and reference as to the source is minimal.
Mostly Nordic. Not useable for belts
